Leap of Faith

All great things can only begin with some sort of leap of faith. Individually, we cannot guarantee everything will always work out the way we want them to. Sometimes we just have to believe in ourselves enough to trust that we have the strength and tenacity to see things through.

This blog is the beginning of that leap of faith for me. For years I put off sharing my story because of my perfectionist attitude and if I didn’t think that I couldn’t do things perfectly, then there’s no point in even trying. So, for years and years I waited until the moment when things would be just right and the stars aligned for me to finally get my butt in gear and start this website. In all honesty, it never happened. This blog/site is not in the final form I had always hoped it would be, but it is still a start. It’s impossible to build something perfectly if you’ve never even garnered the experience it takes to do so.

In the end, I realized that that moment would never come if I didn’t finally decide to start somewhere, the bottom.

I no longer fear not measuring up the the plethora of different blogs out there or developers who are working on said blogs. I’m never going to get anywhere if I keep being scared of what other people will think or say. This is my website. This is my blog. This is mine. It is the perfect avenue for me to work on being myself while simultaneously pursuing my goals.

In time I will write about my story, where I’ve been, and where I seek to go. Those things, will show up here in any form I desire. This is the start of my journey toward strength, acceptance, and betterment. I hope you enjoy the ride and can take something helpful from it all!
